How it works

One box, your existing devices, and your voice.

There is no new app you need to learn for everyday use, and setup is handled for you. We install a small unit in the house, connect it to what is already on your walls, and from then on you talk to the room.

What sits in your home

The home unit

A quiet box about the size of a paperback, usually in the study or the living room. It is the part that listens, understands and coordinates what happens in the home. Raw voice stays in the home; speech is understood locally on the unit.

The sensors

Small sensors around the home that read movement and the shape of a room rather than a picture of it. They work in the dark and through steam, and they are not worn, charged or remembered.

What you already own

Lights, locks, cameras, blinds, heating, power points and alarms from the brands already installed. They keep working as they do now, and they gain a voice.

Getting it in

You are not expected to configure anything. That is the point of the whole exercise.

  1. 1

    We visit and plan

We walk through the house, look at what is already installed, and talk about who lives there and what worries them.

  2. 2

    We install it

A qualified installer fits the unit and sensors and connects compatible existing devices. You do not touch a manual.

  3. 3

    You talk to it

In plain English, in the room you are in. It learns the household’s habits over the first few weeks and gets quieter, not louder.

  4. 4

    We look after it

The system is designed to report its own health, so many issues can be identified remotely and some can be resolved without a visit.

Why it still works when the internet drops.

Most voice assistants are a microphone with a very long cable. What you say is typically sent to a remote data centre, understood there, and the answer comes back. Cut the cable and the assistant is deaf.

Ours understands you in the house. The thinking happens on the unit in your study, which is why your raw voice does not leave the building and why the lights still respond when the connection is out. Harder requests can use external services when needed — but the raw voice stays in the home.

Sent away

Only the harder questions, and only when you have asked something that needs them

What it will not do

A short list is more useful than a long privacy policy.

  • Record your conversations, or send your voice overseas to be listened to.
  • Sell household data, or use private household content to train general AI models.
  • Spend money or make a booking without asking you first.
  • Put a camera anywhere you have not asked for one.
  • Lock you into our brand of light globes, locks or cameras.
  • Hold on to household data against the wishes of the people who control it — access, export and deletion are designed to stay with the household.
