Who we are

An Australian AI company that happens to start in the home.

Smart U Home designs AI-powered smart living solutions for homes, communities and organisations. Rather than simply supplying smart devices, we bring AI, automation and connected services together into practical solutions that improve everyday living.

Where we are starting

The most valuable place for this technology is not a luxury apartment. It is the home of an older Australian who wants to stay in it, or someone living with disability for whom a light switch across the room is a genuine obstacle — and the family and carers standing behind them.

That is a demanding place to start. It sets the bar for privacy, for reliability and for what happens when something goes wrong. We would rather clear that bar first and work outwards than build something convenient and try to make it trustworthy later.

What we hold to

The house should adapt to the person

Not the other way around. If someone has to learn a complicated app, change their habits or remember to charge something just to use the system, the technology has failed them.

Your home is not a data source

What happens in a house is the household’s. We are paid for the system, not for what it learns.

Open beats tidy

Every large company in this market wants you inside their walls. We would rather work with whatever is already on yours.

Say what is real

We are pre-launch and we say so on every page. A demonstration of the real thing beats a rendering of the finished one.

Where we are up to

A working prototype, pre-launch. Smart U Home is a technology company developing this platform — it is not yet available to buy.

Working now

Speaking to the house and being understood, entirely on site. Control of real devices across brands. A working phone app. Household data kept inside the home by default, with access controlled by the household.

In build

The self-setup wizard, installer tooling, and the carer and provider dashboard.

Next stage

Real-home pilot deployment, service integrations and the tools needed to support rollout.
